bring your blankets and sleeping bags for a night of discussion, sleep and more discussion. this sleep-out will focus on blindness – our blindness, to be precise, systemic blindness relative to poverty in America. we will try to map the various tropes of the classless society, as well as the image of the “home” – from Fannie May to homeland security. we will provide all sorts of mark-making materials and surfaces, you provide your experiences. many thanks to Nikki Pike and Jeanine Minge (of Citizen Concerned) whose portable cob oven we will use to bake and distribute potatoes.
